What does photochromic mean?

Photochromic lenses will be completely clear while indoors, and when you step outside into sunlight and they're exposed to enough UV rays they will turn dark to protect your eyes from UV rays.

Do you really need blue light filtering glasses?

According to the health research organization Scripps, adults spend on average 11 hours in front of some sort of screen per day. In the same research article (which i will list below), they list the detrimental effects this amount of screen time has on our body such as headaches, eye strain, insomnia, generally reduced sleep quality, and mental fatigue, all of which are caused by the harmful blue light.

How can they help your effectiveness?

Not only will the reduced headaches, eyestrain and mental fatigue make you more effective, but a Cambridge conducted study proved that the people that used blue light filtering glasses over time performed better on memory and pattern tests versus when they were given placebos.

Sleep

Blue light has such a profound impact on your sleep simply because it directly affects your body's production of the sleep hormone melatonin. ... Melatonin is responsible for making you feel sleepy, and blue light suppresses the production of this important hormone.

The pineal gland in our brain secretes melatonin, a hormone that helps regulate your sleep-wake cycle and increases about two-to-three hours before bedtime to help you sleep. Blue light can delay the release of melatonin, which can shift our ability to fall asleep (some studies show up to three hours!)

Improved Health

In another study scientists looked at the effects of blue light on human eye cells. After exposing the human eye cells directly to blue light for 3 minutes they found a reduction of 50%! They conducted the same experience with blue light filtering glasses and the reduction was only 15%

How to solve this problem?

We understand that for many of us it is impossible to reduce our screen time to a sufficient extent because of necessities such as work. Although if you use blue light filtering glasses you will be able to work more than twice as long on your computer without having any of these symptoms.

As you've understood, if you are looking to get improved sleep quality, reduced headaches, increased brain function, better health aswell as improving your looks simultaneously, we recommend that you try out our blue light filtering glasses!

Unfortunately due to great demand the shipping times are expected to be about 7-13 business days!
